Pentax is back with its new model, the Pentax Optio W10 which is a great camera and setting new standards in the camera industry! It was shown in the US on the 15/2/06. The Pentax Optio W10 will be sold at a retail price of 254in North America, no bad for all this technology. This nice little piece of technology measures 107 x 55 x 23 mm and has for weight 160 g. The Optio W10 gets a maximum resolution of 2816 x 2112. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 2560 x 1920, 2304 x 1728, 2048 x 1536, 1600 x 1200, 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The ratio of the image on the Pentax Optio W10 is 4:3, making a camera of 6.0 mega pixels.

The internal sensor on the Optio W10 is a CCD which measures 1/2.5 " with a RGB color filter. Pentax added a digital zoom on its Optio W10 and included an internal flash which is very handy to any cameras nowadays . The normal focus range between the camera lens and the main subject is 40 cm. The min. shutter speed of the Optio W10 is 4 seconds and the maximum shutter is 1/2000 seconds. The movie mode is supported in this version being a very useful function. The Pentax Optio W10 has an internal storage space of 10.5 mb extendable by using SD/MMC card + Internal.

The LCD screen available on the Optio W10 diagonally measures 2.5 ". A video out plug exists making it handy to watch pictures on your television. A USB connection is furnished to connect to a computer.
