Pentax arrives this year with its new model, the Pentax Optio M10 which is a special camera and setting new standards in the market! It was announced on the North American market on the 15/2/06. The Pentax Optio M10 will be sold for 199in North America, considered affordable for such a camera. This nice little piece of technology measures 89 x 59 x 24 mm and weights 170 g. The Optio M10 has for maximum resolution 2816 x 2112. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 2560 x 1920, 2304 x 1728, 2048 x 1536, 1600 x 1200, 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The ratio of the image on the Pentax Optio M10 is 4:3, making a camera of 6.0 mega pixels.

The lens's sensor of the Optio M10 is a CCD of dimensions 1/2.5 " using a RGB color filter. Pentax implemented a digital zoom on the Optio M10 and also added an internal flash which is always essential in a camera . The normal focus range between the camera lens and the object is 70 cm. The min. shutter speed of the Optio M10 was set at 4 seconds and the maximum shutter is 1/1500 seconds. Movies are supported in this version which is always a useful function. The Pentax Optio M10 has an internal storage space of 22 mb and can be extended with external storage by using SD/MMC card + Internal.

The LCD implemented in the Optio M10 diagonally measures 2.5 ". A video output is available allowing you to watch your favorite pictures on television. Connection to a computer is available through USB.
