Pentax Optio SVi digital cameraPentax unveils its new model, the Pentax Optio SVi which is a special camera and supposed to set new standards in the market! It was announced in North America on the 13/5/05. The Optio SVi has for maximum resolution 2560 x 1920. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 2048 x 1536, 1600 x 1200, 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The image ratio (w/h) on the Pentax Optio SVi is set at 4:3, making a total of 5.0 mega pixels. The sensor on the Optio SVi is a CCD measuring only 1/2.5 " with a RGB color filter. Pentax implemented a digital zoom on the Optio SVi with an internal flash which is always essential in a camera .
The normal focus range between the camera and the object is 60 cm. The min. shutter speed of the Optio SVi is 4 seconds while the maximum shutter speed is 1/2000 seconds. Movies are supported on this camera being a very useful function. The Pentax Optio SVi includes an internal memory of 32 mb extendable by using SD/MMC card. The LCD implemented in the Optio SVi is measuring 1.8 ". A video out plug exists letting you see your pictures on television. Connection to a computer is available through USB.
