Pentax impresses with its new model, the Pentax Optio M20 which is a very special camera and entering with force a very competitive market! It was unveiled on the North American market on the 21/8/06. This nice camera measures 94 x 61 x 23 mm while weights 180 g. The Optio M20 offers a maximum resolution of 3072 x 2304. You can also set it at a lower resolution of 2560 x 1920, 2304 x 1728, 2048 x 1536, 1600 x 1200, 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The ratio of the image on the Pentax Optio M20 has been set at 4:3, making a total of 7.1 mega pixels. The sensor on the Optio M20 is a CCD which measures 1/2.5 " having a RGB color filter.

Pentax included a digital zoom on the Optio M20 and also added an internal flash which is very handy to any cameras nowadays . The normal focus range between the camera and the object is 40 cm. The min. shutter speed of the Optio M20 is 4 seconds while the maximum shutter speed is 1/2000 seconds. Movies are supported in this version which is always a useful function. The Pentax Optio M20 camera has an internal storage of 22 mb extendable with SD/MMC card + Internal. The LCD screen available on the Optio M20 measures 2.5 ".
