Pentax strikes back with its new model, the Pentax K100D which is an exciting camera and setting new standards in the camera industry! It was presented in the US on the 22/5/06. The K100D has for maximum resolution 3008 x 2008. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 2400 x 1600, 1536 x 1024. The image ratio (w/h) on the Pentax K100D is 3:2, for a total of 6.1 mega pixels. The sensor of the K100D is a CCD which measures only 23.5 x 15.7 mm having a RGB color filter. The minimum shutter speed (min. exposition to light) on the K100D is 30 seconds and the maximum shutter is 1/4000 seconds.

The LCD screen available on the K100D diagonally measures 2.5 ". There is also a video out output available allowing you to watch your favorite pictures on television.
